    Welcome to my top 9 plant-powered healthy breakfast recipes for 2021. I'm delighted to be able to share these recipes with you. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the the day, these are the recipes I've tried and tested over the last few months. They've been keeping me fit, healthy and energised throughout my busy work and training days. You can save and print out all these recipes and stick them on your fridge! Happy cooking

    The importance of a good healthy breakfast

    I believe a good breakfast is the foundation of a healthy balanced lifestyle. Sometimes it can be the hardest meal to enjoy, either we’re getting the kids ready for school and rushing out to work, or simply we just cannot find a natural and healthy option for breakfast. 

    Traditional breakfasts are often loaded with animal products or refined gluten and sugar. Skipping or having an inadequate breakfast is a dangerous habit. If our body does not have enough fuel and nutrition it needs, we will struggle throughout the day and crave ‘pick me up’ sugar and caffeine fixes, which can become a vicious cycle. 

    A balanced breakfast loaded with complex carbohydrates, fibre, protein, good sugars and fats will provide us with the sustained energy we needs to thrive throughout the day.

    Breakfast like a king; lunch like a prince; dinner like a pauper.

    Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day, I love to rise and shine early and make the most of the day. Every day is a gift, the early morning habits and rituals we cultivate will determine our mood and energy for the day ahead. Making the time to enjoy a good nutritious breakfast on a regular basis is the key to achieving and maintaining vibrant health.

    The benefits of a healthy breakfast  

    With the right knowledge and motivation, it does not take much time to prepare a range of convenient and nutritious breakfast items. In fact, making your own is not only better for your health, it's also much cheaper and far more satisfying. Taking the time to sit together at the breakfast table as a family and teaching our kids the importance of a good breakfast, as well as some recipes is truly empowering them for a healthier and happier life ahead.
