I believe a good breakfast is the foundation of a healthy lifestyle. Sometimes it can be the hardest meal to enjoy, either we’re getting the kids ready for school and rushing out to work, or simply we just cannot find a natural and healthy option for breakfast.
Traditional breakfasts are often loaded with animal products or refined gluten and sugar. Skipping or having an inadequate breakfast is a dangerous habit. If our body does not have enough fuel and nutrition it needs, we will struggle throughout the day and crave ‘pick me up’ sugar and caffeine fixes, which can become a vicious cycle.
A balanced breakfast loaded with complex carbohydrates, fiber, protein, good sugars, and fats will provide us with the sustained energy we need to thrive throughout the day.
