    Have you wondered what the benefits of cold press juicing are? Are you confused about the difference between slow-press and cold-press juices? Within this article, I'll introduce you to some of the many health benefits of cold press juicing and all you need to know about getting started on your juicing journey.

    What does “Cold Press Juice” mean?

    Cold press juicers, centrifugal juicers, and slow juicers are all basically the same type of juicers, just with a different way of saying it. These juice extractors are the newest and best type of juicers on the market, as you will get the maximum nutrition from your juice and the highest yield from your produce.

    With this type of juicer, there is less waste, you throw away less pulp and the pulp is much drier which means more juice and increased vitamins.

    Cold Press Juicing is a term that refers to pressing fruit and vegetables at low temperatures with a single auger, twin gears, or a press as opposed to cutting the fruit and vegetables with sharp blades at high temperatures.

    Slow Press Juicers are essentially the same as Cold Press Juicers, they refer to juicing at low RPM which retains more nutrients (as opposed to juicing at high RPM which creates heat and destroys nutrients).

    Centrifugal juicers (which are your more typical older style juicers) have fast rotating blades that create friction and can damage the enzymes and nutritional content of your fruits and vegetables. 

    As a general rule, the lower the RPM the lower the heat thus higher the nutritional content of your juice.

    Slow juicing technology creates high-quality juices by minimizing oxygen and heat exposure to effectively preserve the nutrients, colors, and aromas of the ingredients you are using.

    The slow/cold press process is more labor intensive, but you get every bit of the delicious juice. The ROI is well worth it!

    When you cold-press your juice, it retains more of the vitamins, enzymes, minerals, and antioxidants than regular juice. This makes it a healthier alternative to traditional juicing.

    Cold-pressed juice is never exposed to heat during its juicing process, which is important for producing more nutrition per serving. You can get the nutrients you need, boost your energy levels, and improve your immune system with each bottle of cold-pressed juice.

    Cold-pressed juices can be high in energy because of how dense and concentrated the juice is. However, they are much better for your health when you compare them to regular pasteurized juices at the supermarket.

    Consuming raw cold-pressed juice is like injecting a nutrient-dense elixir into your body. It's one of the best ways to boost your health and overall nutrient intake.

    I always recommend 'Variety', it's the spice of life! Enjoy a variety of cold-pressed seasonal fruits and vegetables as part of a balanced lifestyle and food intake.

    Juice cleanses can be a great opportunity to reset and get back on track with your digestion and eating routine. Ongoing, I recommend incorporating a different colored juice every day, or every other day. Balance the vegetable-to-fruit ratio to be 65% vegetable - 35% fruit. Choose as organic as possible ingredients.

    1. Boost vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in your food intake

    Juicing has the ability to provide the body with a healthy source of vitamins and minerals that could otherwise be missing from your diet. In case you haven’t thought about it in a while, vitamins and minerals are good for you! They help us grow, think, work, play, create, laugh, sleep, and so much more.

    If your body is lacking several of the main vitamins and minerals, that could mean your body isn’t working to its full potential. If you’re not a fan or get sick of eating your fruits and vegetables, juicing is a fun way to incorporate them into your life – while also getting all the vitamins and nutrients your body requires.

    Incorporating juice into your diet may help you lose weight. Depending on the fruits and vegetables that you’re consuming, it’s possible that your morning, afternoon, or even evening juice is lower in calories and more nutrient dense than your normal snacks.

    In many cases, this can mean that you’re calorie deficient, which is a great recipe for losing some excess weight. Although I do recommend eating healthy meals throughout the day, juicing is a great supplement for any fruits and vegetables you may be missing.

    We’re all used to the routine: Wake up, get ready, grab a coffee on the way out the door, and begin our day.

    Have you noticed yourself relying on caffeine a little too much? Maybe you aren’t a morning person, or you lose your steam in the afternoon. Juicing is a tremendous way to experience increased energy without reliance on caffeine.

    One of the many ways we can increase our energy levels is by consuming more foods that have B vitamins. This includes leafy greens, some citrus fruits, beetroots, ginger, and more. Juicing is a fast, healthy, and easy way to get these B vitamins into your body.

    If you’re suffering from pain or inflammation of any kind, juicing may be a great supplement for you due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Consuming darker, leafy green vegetables, and fruits that are packed with vitamin C will nourish your body with antioxidants.

    Maintaining a diet that is full of nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables gives you the upper hand on inflammation, possibly reducing the side effects.     Drinking raw fruit and vegetable juices has the ability to greatly increase your daily nutrient intake. These nutrients are vital in the protection against diseases such as heart disease, high blood sugar, issues with the digestive system, high blood pressure, and more.
