Put the almond milk, coconut oil, turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, pink salt, sweetener and grated ginger into a small saucepan.
Warm gently, bring to about 90c – do not boil.
Whisk well.
Check flavour and add more sweetener or spice if desired.
Pour into a mug, sprinkle with cracked black pepper and cinnamon.
Sit back, relax and enjoy.
Recipe Notes
If you can source fresh turmeric root try adding 1 teaspoon of fresh grated root.
Depending on what plant milk you use, try reducing the sweetener as some store bought milks are already sweetened.
If your palette is accustomed to Indian spices, increase the quantity. You may also like to add nutmeg, fennel seed or cardamom to take this Moon Milk to a whole other level!
You can use whatever plant-milks you have available. Cashew, rice, coconut or oat milks work well or you could try a 50/50 of your 2 favourite milks!
