120 g Brown sesame seeds 120 g Black sesame seeds 10 g Pink salt
Add the sesame seeds to frying pan.
CAREFUL NOT TO BURN!
Toast sesame seeds on a medium heat for about 2-3 minutes until the seeds start to pop..
Mix the seeds around the pan well so they toast evenly.
Transfer sesame seeds to mortar and pestle OR blender if you do not have a mortar and pestle.
Pound the sesame seeds until they start to release their oils and aromas, they should be a coarse texture.
Add the salt and mix well..
Transfer to airtight storage container.
Keep for up to 1 month in a cool area, out of direct sunlight.
